Final Sirens choir is based at Beaumaris Football and Cricket Club, where the choir was formed in 2006 by the women of the footy club. The choir is accessible to all.
Since Jeannie Marsh became Musical Director in 2011, the choir has added 3-4-part arrangements of World Music, Broadway, Australian, and contemporary pop songs to its repertoire. The choir enjoys dancing as well as singing, and each year includes at least one lively choreographed number. The Final Sirens enjoy singing songs made famous by girl-groups of the 1960s.
Performances range from the annual September gig at the footy club, to community charity events, Christmas carols programs, flashmob events, shopping centres and aged-care facilities. In 2017 Final Sirens will perform at The Boite World Music Cafe.
In 2016 the choir celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala performance featuring songs from every year of the choir.
In 2017 the choir enters a new era – men are now singing in the choir for the first time!
